1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy applies to the Wanicity Android app, Wanicity backend services, privacy page, and account deletion page. In this policy, "Wanicity", "we", "our", or "us" means the Wanicity app service. Contact email: wanicity.com@gmail.com.
2. Information We Collect

3. App Permissions
- Camera: used only when you choose to take a photo for a post.
- Notifications: used only to send app notifications on Android versions that require notification permission.
- Internet and network state: used to load posts, categories, images, account data, website links, and upload content.
The app uses Android's system picker for gallery selection where possible, so broad storage access is not required for normal photo uploads.
4. How We Use Information
- Create, verify, and maintain your Wanicity account.
- Display latest posts, category feeds, search results, images, and submitted links.
- Allow you to create, edit, delete, report, and manage posts.
- Send account, service, and community notifications where enabled.
- Handle support, abuse reports, and account deletion requests.
- Maintain security, prevent spam/fraud, debug issues, and comply with legal or Google Play policy requirements.
5. Public Content
Posts you publish may be visible to other Wanicity users. This can include your profile name, post title/description, images, links, category, posted date, and city/community. Do not post sensitive personal information that you do not want to be public.
6. Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers needed to operate app features:
- Firebase Authentication: mobile number verification and sign-in.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: notification delivery.
- Branch: app sharing and deep-link functionality.
- Backend/hosting/storage providers: API, database, image hosting, account deletion requests, and server logs.
- Google Play services: Android platform, app distribution, and related services.
If you share a post through WhatsApp, Facebook, email, SMS, or another app, that sharing is handled by the app you choose and its privacy policy applies.
7. Advertising and Analytics
Google AdMob ads have been removed from the current Wanicity app version. If advertising, analytics, or additional SDKs are added later, this policy and the Google Play Data safety form must be updated before release.
8. Google Play Data Safety Summary
For Google Play Data safety, Wanicity may collect or process these data categories depending on user actions:

These are used for app functionality, account management, notifications, security, fraud prevention, support, diagnostics, and compliance. The Play Console Data safety form should match this policy and the app's actual behavior.
9. Data Retention
We keep account and post data while your account is active or as needed to provide Wanicity. Deleted posts or accounts are removed from active use. Some limited logs, backups, deletion request records, or abuse/security records may be retained for a reasonable period where required for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or backup recovery.
10. Account and Data Deletion
Wanicity provides deletion from inside the app and from the web, as required for apps that allow account creation.

- Open Wanicity and sign in.
- Tap Profile in the bottom navigation.
- Tap Account Deletion Options.
- Read the warning, continue, then type DELETE to confirm. This extra confirmation helps prevent accidental deletion.

Account deletion removes your account record and posts associated with the account, unless limited retention is needed for security, legal, fraud-prevention, dispute, or backup reasons.
11. Your Choices and Controls
- Edit your profile name from the Profile screen.
- Delete your own posts where available.
- Request account deletion in the app or on the web.
- Turn off notifications in Android system settings.
- Choose not to grant camera permission and continue using features that do not require the camera.

12. Children
Wanicity is a general local community app and is not directed to children under 13. Users should not submit information for a child without appropriate permission from a parent or guardian.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect account and service data. No internet service is completely secure, so users should avoid posting sensitive personal information in public listings.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when app features, data practices, legal requirements, or Google Play policies change. The effective date at the top shows the latest update.
